COVID-19 Information and Guidelines

Current members are welcome back to the Stanford Social Club. Following UK Government guidelines, we provide a safe environment for our volunteer bar staff and members and member’s guests. Since the COVID-19 restrictions were changed on 19th July 2021 mask wearing is not a legal requirement but please be mindfull that some people will be happy to continue to wear masks and others will be happy not to wear masks.
Regular opening is still limited to Friday, Saturday and Sunday with special opening on other days as advertised.
Those members who were members last year have had their membership extended, without charge, until March 2022. New members will not be charged until March 2022
If you have visited pubs recently you will recognise all the measures. There is a list of don’ts but do enjoy yourselves, back in the familiar club house with cheap drinks and a friendly atmosphere. We ask members to play their part in this to make sure all goes well.
On entering you will be asked to use the hand sanitiser at the high level table. Please fill out your name and phone number on a slip of paper provided to enable track and trace, if you have the NHS COVID-19 app please scan the QR code. The slips can be posted into the box and will be held for 21 days and then destroyed.
By using the app to scan the QR code or completing the slip you are confirming to the best of your knowledge that you are not suffering from COVID-19 and that you are not presenting the symptoms of the disease, a high temperature, a new continuous cough, a change to your sense of smell or taste.
Drinks can be ordered from the bar. No more than two people at the bar at one time. A card machine has been introduced to limit the handling of cash.
Seating is available outside.
Ladies and gent’s toilets will both be available. Please use the hand sanitisers there on entry and exit and clean surfaces that you have touched.
Tables will be cleaned down and sanitised by the bar staff when they are able. All other key surfaces and touch points will be cleaned by the bar staff when they are able. Members are asked to return glasses to the designated area at the bar.
Darts, pool, and cards will be available however these may take time to put in place so please be patient. Live entertainment will return The contract with Sky Sports has been renewed.
You will appreciate that the volunteer bar staff have a big role to play in keeping you safe as well as providing drinks and snacks so please be patient and respect them for their commitment.
Broadband has been improved and is available as BT_Guest_Wi-Fi.
Without volunteers giving their time we would not have a Club. So thank you to them for their dedication and especially to those who have given their time to keep the Club open during the recent difficult times.
So, all that is left is to welcome you back and for you to please enjoy yourselves and above all stay safe.

NEW EXTENSIONS:
Our new extension was completed in early 2020 to provide more room for the pool table and darts players. The more open feel to the club welcomes all who want to come in and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
